Open Access

Open Access is a publishing model that provides immediate, subscription free access to the full text of published articles. Moreover, authors who publish in Open Access journals retain the copyright of their article. All articles published are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication. To ensure digital preservation for the future, our electronic publications will be archived with Portico, as for all publications of EUEP.
Pneumon is an open-access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

Authors submitting their work to Pneumon retain the copyright of their work without restrictions.
The default license for articles published in Pneumon is the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC-BY-NC 4.0).
Authors who wish to publish their work under a commercial license are also able to choose between the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0) or the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-ND 4.0).

Article Processing Charges
The Open Access model allows the publishers to make the published material freely available to all interested online readers.
In Pneumon there are no Article Processing Charges (APC) or any related subscription costs, when authors are from Academia/Non Governmental Organisations. For manuscripts submitted by authors affiliated with an industry (i.e. Pharmaceutical industry) an APC of 1950 Euro (plus VAT where applicable) is levied.
In addition, if a commercial license is applied (CC BY 4.0 or CC BY-ND 4.0), then a commercial license charge of 1000 E (plus VAT where applicable) is levied.

Download statistics
The journal provides download statistics for each article published. These can be seen from the "stats" download tab next to each article. These refer to direct downloads from the journal website and does not indicate accesses from other websites or databases.
