ABSTRACT
The majority of cases of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) are seen in immunocompromised patients but IPA has been rarely reported in immunocompetent patients. The case is described of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis in an immunocompetent 17 year-old male, who was successfully treated with salvage therapy, including Itraconazole and Amphotericin B.
