PNEUMON is an openaccess, peer reviewed, bilingual (Greek and English) journal publishedquarterly as the official scientific journal of the Hellenic Thoracic Societyand the Hellenic Bronchologic Society. The journal is published quarterly (4issues/year) both in print and online.

The Journal publishesoriginal papers of international interest on laboratory and clinical researchthat are pertinent to lung biology and disease. Clinical and experimental workdealing with the whole field of pneumonology, includingallied health, cell and molecular biology, epidemiology, immunology, pathology,pharmacology, physiology, intensive and critical care, paediatric respiratorymedicine and thoracic surgery are within the scope of the journal.

Articles published inPNEUMON address topics related to pneumonology and critical care medicine inthe following categories: Editorials, Reviews, Basic and Clinical Research Studies,Case Reports, Special Articles and Letter to the Editor. Editorials, Reviewsand Special Articles are published following invitation by the Editorial Board.The Editorial Board reserves the right of publishing other types of papers aswell. All manuscripts submitted to the Journal are peer-reviewed by Greek andInternational experts and the members of the Editorial Board. We cordiallyinvite you to submit a paper for any of the above categories, according to theinstructions found in the "Instructions to the Authors" section.

PNEUMON is indexed inSCOPUS, EMBASE, DOAJ, INDEX COPERNICUS, and GOOGLE SCHOLAR and is currently under consideration for inclusion in MEDLINE(PubMed).
